Best Complimentary Skill for an Assassin?
I got prophecies running finally last week and just got factions last night so I am not that sure on the relative strength and weaknesses of characters...
What would be the best 2nd class to choose which would fit well with my primary class of assassin?

Warrior.
But that will only show it's full strength once you advance your Luxon or Kurzick title so that you can buy Save Yourself! Also if you don't have Nightfall, warrior secondary gives you access to Flurry which is a nice IAS for a PvE assassin.

you could go A/R, that sould also give you IAS skills. Assasins don't really need another profession, W and R are only really good because of things to do with adrenaline, and IAS skills.

Assassins have loads of options. In pvp I would say A/W for IAS so why not in pve and SY seems a need for hm lately (no offense but I disagree )
Sins are amazing at crit stuff too, like /D crit scythe, /R crit barrage/disturbing blabla. I tbh use A/D alot since I don't like pvp and love to have things done fast (180-220 damage ftw)

By the looks of the first post - I don't think the OP has Nightfall nor GWEN.

Warrior is a good secondary for Assassins, the one I seem to use most.
Anyway, you can change your character secondary relatively soon in Factions (to any secondary profession you want, and switch back, etc), so don't worry much about which one you should pick now.
Late game Elementalist secondary is popular amongst Assassins using Shadow Form.
Early on, Assassin skills are good enough that you can be fine using only Assassin skills in the bar without worrying about secondary.

Actually you are wrong. Flurry is not good for Assassins in PvE. Critical Agility is the best IMS for assassins. Warrior is a good secondary. They have access to Save Yourselves and For Great Justice to keep SY up indefinitely. Go A/W.

OP said he just bought Factions so he probably doesn't have Nightfall so no Crit Agility. And OP, please NEVER go /r for general PvE outside of maybe specific farming builds. No matter what anyone says, crit barrage/crit rupt spammers are inferior to something like a simple Death Blossom/Moebius Strike chain. /w will probably be best for SY! and flurry
